Every Part of Medicare, Explained Locally

Medicare choices rarely come one at a time. A neighbor who is turning 65 needs to know about Part B dates, supplement timing and drug plans all at once. A couple on fixed income wants to know about savings programs before they compare plans. Someone who already has coverage wants to know whether next year's changes will hurt.

So we organized our help into nine services. Each page below explains one topic in plain language, with 2026 numbers from Medicare and the questions we ask before we suggest anything. Start with the topic that fits you today, or book one free review and we will cover whatever you need.

2026 numbers at a glance: Part B premium $202.90 a month · Part B deductible $283 · Part A deductible $1,736 per benefit period · Part D out-of-pocket cap $2,100 · Fall Open Enrollment October 15 to December 7.

How to Choose Where to Begin

If your 65th birthday is within the next year, read turning 65 and enrollment first, then Original Medicare guidance. Those two pages explain the base program and the deadlines that carry penalties.

If you are choosing how to fill the gaps, compare Medicare Advantage with a Medicare Supplement, and read about Part D drug plans. If cost is your first concern, look at help paying for Medicare and dual eligible plans. If you already have coverage, the annual plan review and dental, vision and hearing pages are a good place to start.

For free, neutral counseling, you can also contact NJ SHIP (nj.gov)(external site) or compare every plan in the area on Medicare Plan Finder (Medicare.gov)(external site).

Do you charge for any of these services?

No. Every service on this page is free to you. Insurance companies pay agents when someone enrolls, and your premium is the same either way.

Can you help a parent who lives with me in North Bergen?

Yes. Adult children are welcome to join the call, with the parent's permission, and we can do the whole conversation in Spanish.
